Semire Akyazi

I am a freelance artist living and working from my studio in Izmir, Turkey. I have a Master's degree from DEU Faculty of Fine Arts, Ceramics Dept.

After working on ceramics for many years I began to draw  portraits in a detailed and realistic style with pastel pencils and soft pastels.

I create  portraits on a commission basis for clients  to draw from and all over the world. I use photographs to draw from and prefer the very best materials.

For my pastel portraits I use a selection of various pencils and soft pastels for the best color palette; Faber Castell Pitt, Derwent series, Rembrandt soft pastels, Canson Mi-Teint pastel papers and boards, Clairfontaine pastelmat and papers
